NIKA, a 24-year-old czech artist.
The czech singer/songwriter, classical composer, arranger, pianist and a musical theatre actress NIKA (Veronika Boráková) released her mesmerizing debut album FLESH & SOUL in the spring of 2022. Born in the city of Ostrava, she is a graduate of the Janáček Conservatory in classical composition. In 2025 she released her second studio album ELSEWHERE, which has been shortlisted for Ceny Anděl 2025 and also has won another Jantar Award in the popular music cathewgory. Her work is a distinctive take on genres such as jazz, pop, folk, classical and alternative music. In her lyrics she speaks about manipulation and hypocrisy in society, mental abuse or dealing with intense emotions.
For her debut album Flesh & Soul (2022), NIKA has won the Jantar Award in the popular music category, she also became the winner of the Junior category in the JazzFruit competition and performed at prestigious festivals such as Colours of Ostrava, Smetanova Litomyšl, Prague Sounds or the Czech Music Crossroads showcase festival, but also at the Paris-Prague jazz club in Paris.
You can also find her in musical theatre (Moravian-Silesian National Theater) as an actress/singer - currently she performs the main roles in two musicals: Elisabeth and Interview. Since August 2025, she performs the role of Agnetha Fältskog in Pavel Klusák's drama AGNETHA VOLÁ S.O.S.
She is also the lead vocalist of a czech band Stratopilot.
NIKA's accompanying band consists of drummer Jonáš Bjolek, pianist Pavel Duda and bassist Nicolas Gatto.

Česká zpěvačka/písničkářka, klasická skladatelka, aranžérka, klavíristka a divadelní herečka NIKA (Veronika Boráková) vydala na jaře roku 2022 své uhrančivé debutové album FLESH & SOUL. Narodila se v Ostravě a vystudovala klasickou skladbu na Janáčkově konzervatoři. Na jaře roku 2025 vydala své druhé studiové album ELSEWHERE, které se objevilo v shortlistu pro Ceny Anděl 2025 a také za něj získala svou druhou Cenu Jantar v kategorii populární hudba za rok 2025 Její tvorba je osobitým pojetím žánrů jako je jazz, pop, folk, klasická a alternativní hudba. Ve svých textech hovoří o manipulaci a pokrytectví ve společnosti, psychickém týrání nebo vypořádávání se s intenzivními emocemi.
Za debutové album Flesh & Soul (2022) získala NIKA Moravskoslezskou uměleckou Cenu Jantar v kategorii populární hudba, stala se vítězkou kategorie Junior v soutěži JazzFruit a vystoupila na prestižních festivalech jako jsou Colours of Ostrava, Smetanova Litomyšl, Prague Sounds nebo showcase festival Czech Music Crossroads, ale i v Paris-Prague jazz club v Paříži.
Najdete ji také v muzikálech (Národní divadlo Moravskoslezské) jako herečku/zpěvačku - v současnosti ztvárňuje hlavní role ve dvou muzikálech: Elisabeth a Interview. Od srpna 2025 vystupuje v roli Agnethy v činohře Pavla Klusáka AGNETHA VOLÁ S.O.S.
Je také zpěvačkou české skupiny Stratopilot.
